The highly developed diffusers from PLANLICHT are a central component for optimum light distribution in your customised lighting systems. Also known as optics, they are specially designed to maximise the efficiency and functionality of your luminaire - for a harmonious and effective light pattern that is precisely tailored to your needs.

Components

The linear extruded diffusers consist of two components:

Component 1: A special high-gloss white reflector adapted to the LED insets on both sides, which increases operating efficiency and optimises system efficiency.

Component 2: The profile-flush diffuser, which is available in various versions to fulfil different lighting requirements.

  • Requirement for wide-area general lighting: Satinè and Jet Black & Light
  • Requirement directed lighting, increased visual comfort & glare reduction: Microprism and Extra Comfort (combination of clear diffusers and microprismatic components)

Satiné | A flush-moulded diffuser made of milky white material.
Ensures a homogeneous light pattern and is ideal for wide-area lighting solutions with maximum harmonised transmission and system efficiency.

Jet Black & Light | A black coloured, flush-mounted diffuser.
Provides uniform area lighting in the „ON“ operating state and minimises the visibility of the luminaire in the „OFF“ inactive state.

Microprism | A clear, flush diffuser combined with microprismatic discs and optional diffuser foil.
Ideal for lighting solutions that require high visual comfort and effective glare reduction.

Extra Comfort | A clear, flush-mounted diffuser combined with microprismatic discs and a photometrically optimised lens SELV cover on the LED inset.
Perfect for very demanding lighting solutions that require maximum visual comfort and glare reduction in accordance with EN 12464, particularly suitable for VDU workstations with L65 < 1500 cd/m² at 65° all-round and UGR<19.

Technical details

The diffusers are perfectly matched to the LED light inserts from PLANLICHT, which have SELV/ESD protection and 7-pole through-wiring (7x 1.5mm²) with terminal blocks on both sides. The individual light inserts are connected to the profile using quick-fit clips, while the electrical connection between the inserts is ensured by flexible stranded wires. This design enables flexible phase selection and the configuration of single or multiple switching circuits or switching groups.
