Emine & Turgay Türkeş

This connection has grown over many years: Emine has already been working at the company for 24 years, Turgay for 19 years. They owe their shared journey at PLANLICHT to a spontaneous application by Emine. She made a convincing impression in the interview and quickly found her place in the company. A few years later, following their marriage in 2007, she enquired about a career opportunity for her husband. „Turgay was given the chance to become part of PLANLICHT and seized it,“ she recalls.

A strong team – with plenty of distance

Although Emine and Turgay work for the same employer, their professional paths rarely cross during the working day. Both deliberately work in different areas: Emine is primarily active in dispatch, goods receipt inspection, returns and currently also in production. Turgay also works in production and particularly enjoys working on the manufacture of the p.bright and quadro product lines.

„We mostly work in different areas, and that's a good thing too,“ they both say, laughing. „24 hours together might be a bit too much after all.“

It is precisely this clear separation that makes their everyday working life particularly straightforward. They can support each other, exchange experiences and understand each other's challenges – without work becoming the focus of their life together. At home, therefore, the topic of career usually stays in the background.

Manufacturing with heart and passion

For Emine and Turgay, manufacturing is far more than just a workplace. They appreciate the modern working environment, which varied tasks and above all that family atmosphere.

They describe their job in three words: teamwork, modern and family-friendly. What makes working at PLANLICHT special? The answer comes in unison: „The working atmosphere.“

In their view, for everything to run smoothly in the production of luminaires and lighting solutions, the main requirements are a enjoyment of the work, concentration, manual dexterity and a sense of responsibility.

Over the years, both have seen how this sector has continuously evolved. „It gets more modern year by year,“ says Turgay.

Together, Emine and Turgay can now look back on over 40 years of PLANLICHT experience. During this time, they have witnessed many changes and grown alongside the company. The fact that they have been able to accompany this journey for so many years fills them both with pride and a deep sense of connection.

They are especially motivated every day by the good working atmosphere, which Appreciation within the team and the Enjoyment in their daily work.

When asked what PLANLICHT stands for to them, Emine and Turgay don't have to think twice: Trust and safety.

Above all, they want to instil one thing in new members of staff: patience. „Every beginning is a challenge. But over time you get to know the procedures, gain confidence and discover how much fun the work is.“

Their personal motto as a couple and as a team at PLANLICHT sums up their story perfectly: „Together we are strong.“
