LIGHT MEETS SUSTAINABILITY | PURE 2 REFURBISHMENT KIT

Sustainability is a top priority at PLANLICHT. An LED refurbishment kit has been developed for the pure 2 profile luminaire (direct), which has been used in many projects in the past with conventional fluorescent lamps and has now been replaced by the next generation – pure 3.

By replacing it with the LED retrofit luminaire insert including through-wiring and LED diffuser, pure 2 undergoes an upgrade in every respect: increased service life, optimised visual comfort, rising energy efficiency and falling energy costs.

UPGRADE YOUR LUMINAIRE IN THREE STEPS

1. Inventory

Compile the information on the existing luminaire:

• Mounting type

• Diffuser/optics (satiné, microprismatic)

• Fluorescent tube type (FQ/FH)

• Length of existing luminaire

2. Contact & offer

Contact PLANLICHT and provide all information about your existing luminaire.

PLANLICHT will then prepare a quotation for the appropriate refurbishment kit for your existing luminaire.

3. Disassembly or assembly of the kit

Once the refurbishment kit has been ordered and delivered, it can be dismantled or installed.

BYE-BYE FLUORESCENT LAMP

Fluorescent and halogen lamps are on the brink of extinction: the RoHS Directive of the European Union (2011/65/EU) and the Ecodesign EU Regulation 2019/2020 ensure that no more lamps and tubes of this type can be sold in the near future.

LED lamps and luminaires are the perfect alternative and score points for their energy efficiency, long service life and resulting sustainability.

All dates at a glance

Placing fluorescent lamps on the market will be banned in various phases during the year.

Phase 1 | 25.02.2023:

• Ban on compact fluorescent lamps (with plug-in base, CFLni)
• Ban on ring-shaped fluorescent lamps (T5, T9)

Phase 2 | 25.08.2023:

• Ban on linear fluorescent lamps (T5, T8)

Phase 3 | 01.09.2023:

• Ban on high-voltage halogen pins (G9)
• Ban on low-voltage halogen pins (G4; GY6.35)
